So called because of their shape - they came in many different sizes, some decorated and others with fantasy animal / dragon head ends. One can't be sure that these were actually 'coins', but they would certainly have been used for exchange.

MAHOGANY - APPROX. 12.5"deep 13"wide x 15"high WITH SIDE HANDLES AND DOUBLE ARCHED PANELLED DOORS - 25 TRAYS WITH 42 AND 56 PIERCINGS PER TRAY - 30 & 35 mm.
The lock is in need of repair and many of the felts and pulls are missing or broken. There are minor knocks to the woodwork and some of the beading is missing inside the right hand door panel. The veneer around the foot is also damaged.
